This temple was dedicated to the religious cosmo vision of the Andean world where all the temples to the several Tawantinsuyo deities were located. We will then visit Sacsayhuaman, located 2km. away from Cusco and considered among the new Seven Wonders of the World. The Incas considered it as the House of the Sun and the Spaniards , a Fortress. In a nearby plain, every June 24th, they celebrate the Inti Raymi (Feast of the Sun). We will then go to Qenqo, a temple built into the living rock with an underground chamber. Puca Pucara is 6 km. away from Cusco. In Quechua Puca means “red” and Pucara “fort”. It was a control post of the Inca trail. Tambomachay is 7km. from Cusco.
