Day 01     Arrive Arrive Kota Kinabalu
You are met on arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant with cultural show. (D)

Day 02     Kinabalu Park / Poring Hot Springs
Depart on a two hour journey (83 kilometers – 52 miles) east of Kota Kinabalu to reach Kinabalu Park, a World Heritage Site. Mt. Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Malaysia. The park is home to more than 1200 species of montane orchids, 300 species of birds, rare pitcher plants and rhododendrons. After an early lunch, proceed to Poring Hot Springs, which is located on the northeastern side of the Mount Kinabalu. At Poring Hot Springs, open air Japanese style bathtubs fed by a sulphurous underground spring offer gentle relief for tired muscles and are believed to have therapeutic properties. You can also visit the Orchid garden that contains a wide selection of the local species, some of which are endemic to the area and very rare. The canopy walk which is 58 meters (190 feet) long and 40 meters (132 feet high), provides new insights into the tropical forest and an eye-to-eye view of its tree top denizens. Return to Kota Kinabalu in the late afternoon. (B, L)

Day 03     Sandakan / Turtle Island Park
Transfer to the airport for flight to Sandakan. You are met at the airport and proceed to the Jetty for a boat ride across to Selingan Turtle Island, 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Sandakan. Here one can witness the green and hawksbill turtles come to lay their eggs and also the release of young turtles to the sea. (B, L, D)

Day 04     Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary / Sandakan City Tour
Early morning depart for Sandakan and proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and virgin jungle reserve, where young orphaned or captive apes are rehabilitated for life in the wild. Continue journey to Sukau. River cruise in the late afternoon in search of proboscis monkeys, a primate with an enlarged nose. The region is also profuse with bird life and wildlife. Overnight at a riverside Jungle Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 05     Gomantung Caves / Sandakan City Tour
Return to Sandakan and explore Gomantung Caves where swiftlets and bats reside en route. After lunch, a city tour of Sandakan Town, which covers the water village, the Puu Jih Shih temple, the largest Chinese Buddhist Temple in Sabah, dramatically situated on a steep hilltop overlooking Sandakan Bay. Transfer to the airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. (B, L)

Day 06     Marine Park
A day trip to the TunkuAbdul Rahman Maribe Park, which is only 20 minutes boat ride away from Kota Kinabalu. On the island you are free to explore, swim or relax on the beach. BBQ lunch will be served. Late in the afternoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel. (B, BBQL)

Day 07     Departure
Morning free till transfer to airport for you onward flight. (B)
