Chile  Chile on the Road- Atacama Desert

Day 01
Pick up the car in Calama at the end of the afternoon and drive to San Pedro, visit to the moon valley at the end of the day. Night at the hotel.
Day 02
Visit to the salar of Atacama and to the Chaxa laguna, to the Toconao village. Possibility to continue towards the Miscanti and Meñique lagunas situated on the altiplano. Return to San Pedro at night. Same accommodation.
Day 03
Very early departure at 4am to the Tatio geysers, return to Calama in the course of the day with visits on the way to the village of Caspana. Accommodation in Calama.
Day 04
Departure north, through the Panamerica road in order to go to the oasis of Pica, visit to the geoglyphs of Pintado on the way. In Pica you will find a hot water spring which has been transformed into a hot water pool (32º). Road towards Iquique going through the village of Tirana and check in at the hotel.
Day 05
Departure to Arica, stop at the ghost town of Humberstone and for the giant of Atacama, the biggest human shaped geoglyphe in the world. Arrival in Arica for lunch if possible. Drive to Putre in the afternoon, small village in the cordillera, night in Putre at Las Vicuñas Hosteria.
Day 06
Excursion to Lauca national park with visit of Lake Chungara and Cotacotani laguna, visit the Aymaras village of Parinacota. Return to Arica going through the Pukara de Copaquilla. Accommodation in Arica.
Day 07
City tour in the morning then drive to Iquique. Late afternoon arrival in Iquique. Check in at the hotel.
Day 08
After a short early morning city tour, departure to Calama going along the coast so as to admire the cordillera that falls into the sea and to pass by the village of Tocopilla and arrival in Calama around 5pm in order to drop off the car at the airport. End of the tour. Return flight at the end of the afternoon.
